The Brian E Coe Diabetic Vision Foundation
is dedicated to providing vision screenings,
diabetic education, and support for
research to promote the prevention of
diabetic vision complications. We focus on
the marginalized communities and those at
most risk for vision loss due to diabetes and
other preventable vision loss.
Our current focus is on providing eye care
to remote regions of Alaska, where diabetes
is prevalent in Native Alaskan villages.
Dr Brian E Coe (1973-2022) dedicated his
life to helping others with vision issues, and
dealt personally with the devastating
effects of diabetes with his eyesight and
health. Our foundation strives to model his
caring attitude and compassion towards
those with diabetes.
